Kade's Excerpt ~
Sydney knew she wasn’t Luca’s
favorite person, but he was polite, she’d give him that. She stood, glancing
from Kade to Luca and took Luca’s hand. Luca pulled Sydney onto the dance
floor. As she went, Sydney’s eyes never left Kade’s. She stopped counting how
many times a day she wanted Kade to make love to her. She never felt so
connected to one man in her life, but she couldn’t admit to herself that this
might be a real opportunity for a long, lasting relationship.
Luca easily pulled Sydney against
him. He pushed his thigh between her knees. Sydney felt the strength of Luca
against her and admired his lean, fit body. He was muscular, lethal. She let
herself fall against him and put one arm around his neck. Luca brought her even
closer. Sydney was surprised to feel Luca’s hardness against her belly. “So,
Luca, is that a stake in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?” she
joked.
Luca grabbed the back of her head
pulling it toward his and whispered in her ear, “Sydney darling, let’s just say
that you are starting to grow on me, and that outfit of yours is delectable. I
may be a vampire, but I’m not dead. Even though you belong to Kade, it doesn’t
stop me from appreciating you…all of you.” He kissed her cheek and continued
dancing.
Horny vampires, geez. She
oddly felt as though she could trust Luca, even if he was so touchy feely with
her. Sydney was attracted to him as well, as most women would be. He was very
handsome, but not a pretty boy. Sydney was surprised at his sudden sexuality on
display for all to see in the club. She also felt nervous wondering what Kade’s
reaction would be to having another man’s hands all over her. She kept trying
to remember that she was there playing a part…Look like you are close to Luca.
As Luca danced with Sydney, he was
reminded that he had not been with a woman in a long time. She was Kade’s
woman, but that didn’t mean he did not appreciate the opportunity to touch her
body. Just as she was beginning to relax, Luca spun her around into Kade’s
arms. But instead of moving away, Luca rubbed against Sydney’s ass reaching his
hands around her waist. His hands slowly inched up under Sydney’s breasts as
Kade kissed her passionately.
Sydney’s senses were
overwhelmed. What the fuck was going on? She was letting two vampires
monopolize her body, sandwiched in between them, loving every minute of it.
Kissing Kade took her away into a headspace that she rarely went, pure
pleasure. Yet, it scared her that she was letting him see her raw, so exposed.
And worst of all, she felt the tingle all over her body. Wishing the situation
with him could be permanent, she was falling for him.
Kade grasped the nape of her neck
and leaned in to speak sensually in her ear, “Sydney love, you are stunning
tonight. Indeed, I am going to find it hard to let you go after this dance.” He
kissed the lobe of her ear. “You seem to like playing with two men. Enjoying
our dance with Luca aren’t you, love? But remember this Sydney, I don’t share,
and at the end of tonight, you will be mine.” Mine? He could not
believe he used the word but at the same time, he could not deny the
all-consuming need to claim Sydney as his. He had every intention of making
love to her over and over again, and was looking forward to hearing her scream
his name in ecstasy.
As the song ended, Sydney was
relieved to put some space between her and the boys. She felt her sensitive sex
ache below, feeling extraordinarily aroused. She longed for Kade’s strong arms
and wished he’d take her out of the club. He told her that she would be his
tonight. She found herself wanting to let him take control and make love to her
until dawn. She was conflicted knowing that she was an independent woman, yet
she could not deny wanting to belong to him.
LUCA’S MAGIC EMBRACE (Book 2)

Luca's Excerpt ~
As he got halfway down the path, he
watched Samantha stretch on the dock. He halted, admiring her firm ass as she
bent forward to grab her right calf. His cock jerked to attention as he
fantasized about ripping off her clothes and taking her from behind on her
hands and knees right out in the open on the wooden pier. No one would see, he
surmised, looking around at the isolated woods. Shaking himself from his
thoughts, he sighed. He could not get involved with this human. He knew how
fragile they were, how easily they could die. Luca refused to let that happen
again.
Just as he thought he’d regained
control of himself, his mouth dropped wide open. With her back facing Luca,
Samantha crossed her arms in front of her and removed her flimsy, stretchy tank
top. Jesus, what was she doing? He continued to watch in awe as she kicked off
her sneakers, hooked her thumbs on the waist of her pants and stripped them off
until she was standing on the end of the dock stark naked. She reached a hand
up into her ponytail and freed her fiery mane; the soft tendrils scattered over
her creamy pale shoulders, teasing the small of her back. The perfectly-formed
globes of her buttocks called to him; his erection pressed tightly against his
zipper.
Luca could not believe she’d
stripped nude in front of him and every small creature in the woods. He
couldn’t help but smile as she launched herself off the dock in a perfect dive.
Did she know he was watching her? How could she not have known? He’d told her
he’d keep an eye on her at the lake. Little temptress, what was she doing?
With preternatural speed, he
arrived at the dock just as her hands breached the shimmering dark-blue water.
Samantha bobbed up to the surface and spun to face him. He could hardly believe
the reckless abandon she demonstrated, given that she’d been held up in a
strange coven less than a week ago. She was resilient, young and full of
energy, representing a zest for life that he’d long forgotten.
Samantha smiled as she waved to him
to join her in the deep abyss. She called out to him, “Come in, Luca! The
water’s great!” She laughed and dove again; her white bottom peeked out for a
second before submerging yet again.
“Darlin’, I’ve got no suit.
Besides, vampires don’t swim.” He wanted desperately to go in after her, but
knew it would lead to so much more than a morning swim.
“You’ve got your birthday suit.
Please, you’re not gonna make a girl swim alone, are ya?” she purred.
“Is it cold?” He was starting to
waver in his firm decision to stay on shore.
“Naw, it’s plenty warm. It’s late
August, had plenty of time to heat up. Come on!” she begged.
“You a good swimmer?” Luca asked.
“Yes. Why’re you asking?” she
replied.
“Because I’m coming in to get you!”
Losing all control, Luca quickly pulled off his white t-shirt and began to
undress.
As he unzipped his pants, Samantha
screamed playfully and started to swim away. Stripped naked, Samantha admired
his rippling abs out the side of her eyes. She knew he’d be coming for her.
Breaching the water, Luca cursed.
“Damn, it’s cold. You lied to me, woman. You’d better swim fast because I’m
goin’ to catch you!”
Luca dove under the water once
again, determined to catch up with the very slippery, naked woman who’d enticed
him to jump into a cold mountain lake in the middle of the day. It had been at
least a hundred years since he’d indulged in such a childish activity, but he
simply could not resist her. While vampires could be exposed to sunlight, he
was weakened to the state of a human during the day. Breaking the surface, he
searched for her and spied feet splashing several yards from him. He dove once
again, knowing he’d soon catch his prey.
Samantha gasped for air after
racing away from Luca. She spun in a circle, treading water as she looked for a
trace of him. The smooth lake gave no clues as to where he was. She knew he was
somewhere. Somewhere close. Looking towards the cabin, she screamed loudly as
hands came around her waist.
Luca pulled her close to him and
began to tickle her mercilessly. “Ah, little witch, you lied to me. The water
is nearly freezing. And since I can’t spank you in the water, this is your
punishment.” He continued to tickle her as she laughed hysterically, thrashing
in the water.
“I’m sorry,” she pleaded. “Uncle!
Uncle!”
Luca stopped tickling her but
didn’t let her go. Instead he let his hands move from her waist to just under
her breasts, encircling her ribcage. Samantha relaxed back onto him, letting
her head fall back onto his shoulder as they both floated on their backs in the
peaceful reserve.
“I’m happy you joined me. I love it
up here in the woods. It’s so peaceful.” Samantha wrapped her arms around his,
fully aware of where his arms supported her. As they moved as one in the water,
she could feel the hardness of him brushing her bottom. Yet she wasn’t afraid.
She was aroused and excited that he’d joined her in such a very human activity.
“I’m happy you convinced me to swim
with you,” Luca responded. “I haven’t done this in such a long time. I’d
forgotten how wonderful it is to skinny dip.”
“How old are you, Luca?”
“Very old, indeed, my dear
Samantha. I was turned in the eighteen hundreds. So I’m well over two hundred
years old….give or take a few years.”
“Do you miss being human?” Samantha
asked.
“No, darlin’. Being human is so
ordinary. And now that you’re a witch, you’ve joined our little club of
supernaturals. I sense your fear. But I promise you that you’ll be all right.
In fact, you’ll probably love it once you find your magic.” Luca squeezed her
tightly and kissed her shoulder.
“Ah, and there’s the rub my friend.
I have no magic. Nothing. Ilsbeth seems to think there’s something about me,
but I can’t do a thing. Believe me, I’ve tried. Nothing happens,” Samantha
huffed.
“It will come, Samantha. I can
smell the magic on you, and it’s as sweet as honey. It’s there. Maybe it hasn’t
shown itself yet, but it will.”
“You sound so confident, Luca. I
wish I could be like you. But I feel so defeated. Seriously, Luca. I’ve been
kidnapped, forced into working at a sex club, beaten and then told I was a
witch. I’ve had to take a leave of absence from my real life. I can’t tell
anyone human what’s really happened to me. And now, on top of everything, you
think I’m in danger, and I have to return to that God forsaken city where it
all started. I just want to lie back in this lake and forget everything,” she
confided.
“Do you remember what you told me
that night we were at Kade’s?” Luca asked.
“Yes. No. I don’t know. I said a
lot of things. I was crying. I was upset. What do you mean? What did I say?”
Samantha laughed a little, knowing how confused she sounded.
“You said you were a strong person.
And while I don’t know you very well, I believe that’s true,” he continued.
“Since you’ve been here at the cabin, you’ve stared down a wolf, talked with an
Alpha and held a knife to a vampire. You’re either crazy or strong, and I can
tell you that I know it’s the latter. You’ll survive what’s to come. You can do
this, Samantha.”
“Luca, where have you been my whole
life?” she joked. She smiled, realizing there was something about him that made
her feel better. “Maybe you’re right. Maybe I can do this, but I can’t do it
alone. You make me feel like I get through this as long as I’m with you.” She’d
never known such encouragement in her entire existence, and here was a man who
had faith in her even when she didn’t have it in herself.
Luca’s heart beat against his chest
at her words. He knew he shouldn’t fall for a human, but she was chipping away
at whatever resolve he had left to stay away. Unable to resist her any longer,
he kissed the side of her neck and slowly trailed his lips behind her ear. She
moaned in arousal as he slid his hands up to caress her breasts. He wanted to
take her there in the lake.
“Luca,” she whispered as he kissed
and touched her. “Yes.”
With her words, he turned her
around to face him, pressing his lips to hers. Their tongues swept together as
they passionately kissed. Samantha wrapped her legs around Luca’s waist,
aroused by the feel of his rock-hard cock bobbing up against the crease of her
ass. She fingered his long hair and kissed up his cheeks as he licked her neck.
“Luca, please,” she panted. God,
she wanted him. She wanted to forget everything in that moment but him.
“Samantha.” Luca wanted to stop, to
tell her that they shouldn’t continue. She was so vulnerable after what had
happened. As much as he wanted her, he didn’t want to take advantage either.
And then there was his vow not to get involved with humans. But she tasted
sweet as peaches on a warm summer day. So soft and slippery in his hands.
“Mmmm…you’re so beautiful,” he murmured, unable to stop kissing her. He needed
to have all of her.
As he was about to suggest they go
inside the cabin, Luca tensed. He immediately released Samantha to stop and
sniff the air. Smoke. He growled, baring his fangs.
“Luca, what’s wrong?” Samantha
asked, frightened.
“Swim Samantha,” he ordered. “The
cabin. It’s on fire.”

After living a lifetime alone, will he succumb to the visceral need to claim her? And will he prevail against the menacing enemy who threatens to destroy Lyceum Wolves?
Tristan's Excerpt ~
Stunned by her beauty, he could
barely breathe. Goddess, the woman was spectacular. The fiery red
gown clung to her in all the right places, and he noticed a small smile grow on
her angelic face, presumably pleased that she had castigated Alexandra.
He needed to get to her, hold her. As he rushed across the room, Mira
stopped him with a hand to his arm. She gestured toward an elusive client
standing to her left.
Logan laughed, seeing Kalli triumph
over the demon spawn who ran the vampires. “Hey girl, I hate to point it
out, but man you laid her out…and that growl. What was that?”
“Dance with me, Logan,” Kalli
declared, needing to move.
“Your wish is my command.”
They crossed the floor, and Logan
swept her into his arms. As amazing as Logan looked, she yearned for
Tristan. She could feel he was close. As the music grew louder in
her ears, she swayed along to the classical beats, hyper-aware of his presence.
Leaning her head on Logan’s shoulder, she finally spied Tristan near the
buffet, surrounded by Mira and a short bald man.
His eyes caught hers, and her heart
started to race. She wasn’t sure whether it was his pensive expression or
aggressive stance, but she could clearly sense he was agitated. Logan
spun her, and she lost his eyes only momentarily, then caught them once
again. His predatory gaze electrified the room, sending goose bumps over
her skin. As he stalked toward them, her breathing hitched. Like a
rabbit alert to the wolf, she froze save for the mindless dance steps she made
while blindly following Logan. As Tristan came upon them, she forced
herself to face him directly. Larger than life, Tristan was
sophistication etched in dripping sexuality. His dominance was apparent
to every man, woman and supernatural in the room; there’d be no denying him.
Even Logan stopped dancing to
respect his Alpha. Lowering his eyes in submission, he bowed
slightly. “Thank you for the dance,” he whispered, releasing her.
Before she had a chance to say a
word, Tristan wrapped a hand around her waist, pulling her tightly to him so
they pressed together. She could feel his barely restrained erection
nudging her belly. Suppressing a moan, she felt herself grow wet.
She clenched her thighs hoping to hide her arousal; every supernatural within
fifty feet would know of her excitement.
“Don’t,” Tristan ordered.
“Don’t what?” she managed to ask.
“Don’t try to hide it. Your
delicious scent.”
“But they’ll know I …” Kalli’s
words trailed off as she lost her train of thought. God, he felt
incredible.
“I want them to know. I want
them all to know you’re mine.”
“But I thought…I mean you came with
her.” Her eyes darted to Mira.
“Business only, nothing more.
Still, I’m very sorry I didn’t bring you with me. Clearly I was an idiot
to leave you alone with my beta. Every man in this room is looking at
you, Kalli.”
“No,” she denied, shaking her head.
“Yes. And they should.
Because you’re magnificent. Everything about you from that alluring dress
I bought you to your sexy growl. My Goddess, do you know what you do to
me? Feel it,” he whispered, grinding his groin against her.
“Tristan,” she breathed. She
was on the verge of orgasm from just dancing with the man. She couldn’t
imagine what would happen if they made love.
“Did you enjoy dancing with Logan?
“What? Logan?”
“Yes, Logan. Did you enjoy
having your sweet body pressed to his?”
“Oh God, Tristan.”
“It’s all right, Kalli. Did
you find it arousing? Tell me the truth.”
“Another test?” she sighed.
“Truth?”
“Okay yes, but he’s not…he’s not
you. No one I’ve ever met in my life is like you,” she admitted.
“Ah, see how easy it is to tell the
truth, ma chérie? Perhaps you’d like to explore two men at once?” he teased
with a sexy smile as if he’d thoroughly enjoy it.
She blushed, not denying it.
“Someday we’ll explore that little
kink of yours, but tonight you are mine. In fact, I think you’ll be mine
for quite a long time.”
“Confident, huh, wolf?”
He spun her around, continuing to
brush against her. Tightening the grip around her waist, he ran his palm
up her arm to her neck, until he reached her face. Caressing her cheek,
he ran his thumb across her lower lip. “I want you so much, Kalli.
I’m so sorry for everything. I shouldn’t have sent you to Logan’s.
I was angry, but damn, I need you.”
She groaned and threw her head
back, publicly baring her neck to him. Submission, truth, she’d give it
to him all right. But what he needed to learn was that he was hers as
well, and after tonight she had no intention of letting him go.

Logan's Excerpt ~
Wynter barely saw him coming.
Logan leapt across the room, and as his body touched hers, she gasped.
His hands pressed hard against the glass on either side of her head. The
masculine scent of him wafted into her nose and she fought the instinct to rub
her face against his chest. Oh God, what had she done? How
could she be so stupid as to challenge an Alpha? She really must be
sick. Unable to speak, she held still. Initially charged with fear,
she realized very quickly that he wasn’t hurting her. The tension between
them escalated with every minute of silence that passed. And then she
felt him, his nose grazing along the side of her neck. A small moan
escaped her lips.
At the challenge, Logan strode
across the room, pinning her against the wall. He had to smell her,
taste her. Why would she deny her wolf? Why play games? Logan
didn’t want to hurt her. Oh no. If anything, he’d like to give her
pleasure like she’d never known. But she kept insisting she was
human. If she wanted to play, play he would. She was wolf, and he’d
prove it to her. But as her sweet scent engulfed his senses, he began to
lose control. His wolf clawed at his psyche, begging to take the
woman. Like freshly cut roses, the heavenly aroma was familiar yet
altogether unique and desirable, although her wolf lingered on the edge; she
was there, he could scent her.
In an effort to prevent himself
from ravishing her right there in his office, Logan plastered his hands so hard
against the window, he thought it’d crack. At the sound of her moan, he
darted his tongue out against her silky skin. He had to taste her.
Just once. Ah fuck, no; his wolf wanted more. Eyes feral, he locked
them with hers, taking her arm. He placed a small kiss to her palm before
dragging his tongue along her wrist all the way to the crook of her elbow,
releasing a growl of satisfaction.
Wynter’s heart pounded as he gently
took her arm into his hands. She shivered as he pushed up her sleeve and
brought her delicate wrist to his lips. Wet with arousal, she couldn’t
break their connection as she stared deep into his mesmerizing
eyes. Oh my God. Wolf. Human. I’ll be
whatever you want me to be…just please, just take me. Wynter thought
her knees would give out, except he had her pressed up against the
window. Lost in his spell, she responded by nudging her own hips against
his hard arousal as he tasted her skin.
Logan groaned as the territorial
need to take her consumed him. He needed to get things under
control. Jax. Fucking, goddamned Jax. His name alone
should have killed his raging hard on, but it wasn’t helping one damn
bit. No, he needed to separate himself from her before he tore her
clothes off. He closed his eyes and blew out a breath, but didn’t release
her.
“Wolf,” he breathed into her hair.
