BLURB
Ewan Matthews is one of Boston’s leading genealogy experts. When a would-be bridegroom comes looking for confirmation that there are no skeletons in his ancestral closet, Ewan considers turning the job down. Trey Capell is a jerk of the highest order and yet Ewan experiences an infuriating attraction that’s easy to justify. Trey’s exactly his type—a carbon copy of the man Ewan’s been looking for his entire life.
Harder to explain is the sense of recognition that leaves Ewan speechless the moment Trey steps into his office. Or the stomach-churning sensation at the thought of casting the job aside.
Trey gets more appealing by the day, leaving Ewan struggling with forbidden desire for his client. Desire not helped by strange voyeuristic dreams that have started to haunt his sleep. Dreams that appear to be an echo of the past.

EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT
In the end, Ewan had given up any hope of sleep returning and had found himself in the office at some ludicrously early hour, with an extra large takeaway coffee and a nutritionally deficient breakfast comprising of three cinnamon donuts.
Licking sticky, brown-tinged sugar from his fingers, he powered up his computer and finished off the second donut while he waited for all the programs to load. Washing it down with a mouthful of coffee, he wasted no time in accessing the regimental records of the Highland Light Infantry via his bookmarked page for Lt. Tristan Capell.
He scanned the details, knowing he should read it more carefully, but not having the patience.
Tristan Capell had been part of the 1st Battalion, which had, in September of 1917, been attached to the 51st Brigade in the 17th Indian Division in Mesopotamia.
Well, that explained the sand and the dust and the colourful, ethnic rugs. Had he noticed that information last night without really registering it?
He would come back to study Lt. Capell’s records more deeply in a moment, first there was an itch he needed to scratch. And once he had dismissed that as a flight of fancy, he could get back to the job he was actually being paid for.
Returning to the home page, he entered the name Owen into the search engine and narrowed the parameters to cover nothing more than the duration of the war. This produced a glut of results, with surnames as well as first names coming to the fore.
His dream had been set in a tent in what could easily have been Mesopotamia, logically—or not, since he was using a dream for investigative purposes—he should start in 1917 and see which Owen had been transferred with the Battalion or after they arrived in the Arab State.
Discarding the first two names, Ewan shook his head in disbelief as he started to check the details of the third possibility.
Officer’s batman. Assigned to Lt Tristan Capell.
Additional duties, Medical orderly.
Private Owen Matthews.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Lillian Francis. Author of gay romance. Happy Endings guaranteed. Eventually.
An avid reader, Lillian Francis was always determined she wanted to write, but a “proper” job and raising a family distracted her for over a decade. Over the years and thanks to the charms of the internet, Lillian realized she’d been writing at least one of her characters in the wrong gender. Ever since, she’s been happily letting her “boys” run her writing life.
Lillian now divides her time between family, a job and the numerous men in her head all clamouring for their stories to be told.
Lillian lives in an imposing castle on a wind-swept desolate moor or in an elaborate ‘shack’ on the edge of a beach somewhere depending on her mood, with the heroes of her stories either chained up in the dungeon or wandering the shack serving drinks in nothing but skimpy barista aprons.
In reality, she would love to own a camper van and to live by the sea.
